Cocaine Addiction

Question: How do i get my friends to realize they have a cocaine addiction and need help?

I'm see my friends less and less, but every time I see them their sniffing cocaine. I don't think they realize HOW MUCH their doing it because every time they get confronted they just make excuses and say their not doing it that much. On top of all of that, they have just changed as people, and their just jerks. I don't even know who my best friend is any more. I fear that some of them are only a step away from overdosing and i don't want to loose any of my friends. I hope someone could give me some good advice. Thank You.

There isn't much you can do. An addict can't get help if they don't want any help and no matter if you are their best friend, parent or lover it will all be the same. Tell your friends that you feel they need to stop and seek some professional help or else your not going to associate yourself with them anymore. You can't ruin your own life for people who don't give a shit about their own. Trust me, my parents are addicts and a lot of my family is as well. It's not worth you wasting your time on people who have to make the decision themselves. There is no other way. I hope your friends get help so you can all be closer one day. Take care.
