Meth Abuse

Question: How long does it take to recover from meth abuse?

I have a friend who abused meth and he is not the same guy i use to know he claims his mind races eveeryday and he seems bi polar i guess and he quit it may so it's been 4 months he claims his paranoia is fading away; but has intrusive repeative thoughts about the past and how people looked at him.. will he recover?

Justin, It takes forever so do not do drugs as your friend did. He will always have some thing wrong with his mind he toke the drugs he is paying the price.

He probably wont , ever . ive been clean for 12 months & im not tha girl i used to be , before meth . & i probably never will be again , though one can hope . whats happened to him ; is his brain is COMPLETELY different , its like its wired different , he doesnt think like you anymore , or like he used to . hes on a whole different f*cked up level & so you should be there for him ; & try to understand when he acts like an idiot , because if hes like me he will .
