I have TERRIBLE news for you. Methamphetamine addiction is dang near IMPOSSIBLE to break. Studies show that traditional rehabs have a 98% rate of recidivism. Don't believe that Promeda will help either!!! It won't! I'm no expert...but I'm a Lodge brother with a bunch of experts. Want a website? go to healinghelpers.org . I can tell you now that Methamphetamine WILL IRREVERSABLY ruin your brain. No if's, and's or buts about it. Remember, we're talking about a "drug " that uses battery acid and lye in it's ingredients...and you don't thnk it'll affect you? It's worse than a chemical burn on your brain, because all those neat ingredients combine to form a hydroxy free radical that will literally burn a path through you prefrontal cortex. Go to healinghelpers.org Don't take my word for it, see Nick Goeders at LSU! |

You have to get caught. Otherwise it isn't free and they don't tend to want to help you. Join NA, it's free. Read the NA Big Book, read the AA Big Book also, it is much the same thing. Find a sponsor. You are on the right path. You can be anything you want to be, and accomplish any goal you set out for. There is life after meth and it's a lot better. Blessings |

If a person has been on meth for 14 years, they have probably caused irreversible damage to their body. Of course it would be beneficial for them to get off of it, but highly unlikely that they will succeed. Sorry to be so negative but I have worked in a substance abuse facility and that is one of the hardest drugs to get off and the longer you are on it, the harder it is to get off of it. Good luck! |

Why not? It might be for a year, but imagine all the money you can save and your health won't be at risk for at least a year... its never too late to start rehabilitation. If you or anyone else goes into the program to end your addiction its like guaranteeing you another year of life... think about it. |

Yes I think that it is a good idea to enter the program. Think about your health. Think about what the meth is doing and has done to your body. Meth doesn't help you. Go as soon as possible. Good Luck to you and work the program. |
