Meth Addict

Question: My friend is a meth addict please help!!?? :-(?

My friend takes meth everyday her face is drastically changing all her freinds are worryed and her mum keeps asking me what she should do and why is she acting like this. To tell the truth though i think she needs to get a grip because i have 12 children to look after. So whats the quick way to tell her to change her life without causing me too much hastle?? P.S She hates councillers and has stabbed one so is advised not to go back...Please Help

Tell her that if she cares about herself she will get help regardless of the cost and that you don't want her around you or the children.I've been recovered from alcoholism for almost 15 yrs and unless she decides to get help she will continue to do this and be a ponderous albatross to anyone she has in her life.

Call the police and tell them to bring a tranq gun....that's my advice and it will get her the help she needs.

Addictions are for weak people. the mind has more power than most people think. if she was a smart person, she wouldnt give up to the meth...

Obviously not a candidate for drug rehab. you let her hang around your 12 kids ? lots of poor judgment here. Find a new friend and let the police deal with this mess.

She is the only one who can help herself. You can give support and request they receive help but that's all you can do. They have to want to fix themselves because if they go to get clean and they really never wanted to it would be a waste of time and effort. All you can do is change the way it affects your life..You have to step up and say "Friend " unless until you help yourself I can't help you.. I love you and I want to be supportive but unless you want to change I do not want to associate with you

It took my mom going to jail before she quit. Almost 2 years behind bars can surely help you kick the habit. I have never heard of anyone quitting without medical help. Meth is a very addictive drug. Like cocaine it only takes once to hook you. If it were me, I would explain to your friend that until she gets herself clean, you can't have her around you or your children. I'd also tell her mom. Most addicts recover with family help. Good Luck
