Recently my friend moved in with me, as my mom was kind enough to let him stay but hanging with the wrong croud has caused him to start doing meth. Luckily its only been for about 3 weeks but I want to get him help as soon as possible. We dont have the money to pay for rehab and I'd much prefer if my mom didnt know about this whole ordeal. Do you have someone I could contact for help? He's capable of huge maturity but has been to rehab twice and both times with extreme anger towards his parents. Hopefully it'd be different with me sending him there, as my broke ass sent him 200$ for a ticket to come live with me. Like i said, he's incredibly mature. He had been in rehab for nine months and wanted to js come home to get a job and start his life where he left off, cuz his parents just left him there to be homeless when he got out. why cant you people ever just help instead of critiscizing as you obviously dont know the details of the situation, he never did meth b4, rehab was for alcohol cuz his parents are mormon. (does that remove the stick from ur a$z?)

Other people cannot force someone to get treatment. There are facilities in your area that can provide the help but he needs to be motivated to stop and he should actually be doing the research to find out where to go because he wants off this stuff, not because you want him off the stuff. And, why on earth would you move an addict into your home before he gets treatment. There will probably be relapses, money spent on drugs rather than bills, absences where you don't know where he is and a lot of heartache. He can contact Department of Human Services in your area or a detox facility in your area to see if they will take him but, without insurance, it may be difficult. Ongoing treatment is the only way to successfully beat this addiction and can take years of treatment.
