Meth Addicts

Question: Why do meth addicts steal the most useless things?

When i use to hang out with my older sister before she got too strung out on meth i noticed her and her other meth addict friends would steal the most POINTLESS things. I know you shouldnt steal regardless but what was their purpose? They would steal old christmas cards & ribbons and just stuff that made no sense. How would this benefit them any? I could understand them stealing money for drugs but cards and bobby pins?? And do ALL meth addicts steal anything they can get their hands on even if its pointless?

1) Theyre not even in theyre right state of mind to even consider stealing yet alone something of value 2) Theyre absolutely desperete, Selling anything they can get theyre hands on for their next fix.

When they are high they don't have any sense of value. So they steal it for more drugs thinking it is of value. This my friend, is YOUR BRAIN ON DRUGS.

As a constant theif i steal any thing i can fit in my pockets sleeves or socks. i do it for the rush and just because i want it. random stuff its great

The friend i had that did meth would take things apart and then not know how to put them back together tvs radios cars almost anything he touched im not sure what makes people do what they do on meth i just know i dont want to be around they it is a very sad drug and hard for people to kick good luck with your sister

No not all meth addicts steal things... and it's absolutely ludicrous to think that. Not everyone fits into some stereotype. The cards and bobby pins can be used to break into places. I've broken into a car once with a bobbypin and broken into more houses/ garages then I can count with a credit card. Not all stealing is done for financial gain either. There's just the sheer fun of it, there's a real rush accompanied with stealing. Not to mention some stuff just seems fun to have at the time despite how pointless it is.
