Meth Addicts

Question: Do meth addicts ever completely recover?

I know a few meth addicts and I can't imagine them ever fully recovering. They appear to have brain damage. Do you think people that are addicted to meth ever fully recover?

I used to date a guy who admitted to me that he used to be addicted to meth. So much so that his teeth were ruined because of it. By the time I had met him he was fully recovered although he was smoking pot occasionally instead of doing meth. So yes it is possible. Extremely difficult but with support of family and a WILLINGNESS to beat the addiction it is possible. They have to want it bad enough though.

I have been clean 4 years on may 22nd. i cant say ill be clean forever but right now i feel great. im not longer a prisoner of the meth. i did not go to any programs or NA meetings. i simple partied my ass off one night then woke up the next day and said fu ck this sh it. talkin about it in a class would have been harder for me then going cold turkey! i agree it does cause some long term side effects, i still talk really fast after 4 years clean. but if you take alot of flax seed oil and multi vitamins it will replenish your brain from all the shyt you did to it and make you a lil more normal after about 6 months of taking the supplement. hope that helped a lil....i know the majority of meth addicts dont clean up there act, but there are some that do...like me
