Meth Amphetamine

Question: Is meth amphetamines a problem in your area?do you have any loved ones using it?

Around here they are busting meth labs every day. the people i have known that use it, change into someone else, moreso than any other drug i have seen anyone on. does anyone have anything to share on this topic? i have never done it, but sadly, i know many that have.

Please, please, please don't start using any sort of drug. My son has been on meth and cocaine for over 10 years now. I've tried to get him help, took him to rehab 3 times, etc, but he keeps doing the drugs. He used to be a sweet, caring person. He also had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around. Now, he looks like something you'd dig up out of the ground. He's overweight, sloppy looking, smells, etc. I haven't spoken to him or seen him for 2 years now....he has a totally different group of "friends ". He disowned, I guess you could say, those that love him. He wants nothing to do with family. He has also been running from the law and multiple creditors for years. He has moved from city to city, job to job and keeps running....all the time laughing about how cunning he is. It's really sad. I love my son, at least the one I gave birth to. He has become someone else now that I do not like very much. PLEASE, keep a level head and don't do drugs.

Yes down here in utah it was pot first then it was like meth was the thing and it's horrible so many have died and so many busted my friend has been to rehab twice since the 8th grade for it and i wish i can help but i cant and she had 2 miscarriages and i hate it it's not worth it...

I have some meth head neighbors. I don't know what other drugs they do, but they disturb the whole neighborhood. I feel sorry for their kids really or the moms kids. They are crazy, he gets in his jeep and peels out of the parking lot of the apartment, and she desperately runs after him through the 300 unit complex. I heard her say go "do your meth ". He yelled " don't you dare do that stuff with my daughter in your lap ". And they yell at each other and call each other bitch. It's insane and annoying. I really need to call child protective services on them. I haven't though of that till now. Did you know that Meth physically alters your brain, so the part of your brain that feels happiness slowly dies. They only way a meth addict can be happy after that is to use drugs, and it keeps deteriorating that part of their brain. You can't ever fully recover from it, because you will never be happy again after using a few times.

Good for you! I'm proud. Some people start doing meth if there are people around them doing meth. Remember just say no. Also, it is not a big problem in my area and as far as i know there are none of my loved ones. If you know anyone trying to quit, help them out! It is hard for them. Sorry about that too. = ::(
