Question: How can you tell if a house you wish to rent or buy has formerly been used as a meth lab?

Wow. if you are worried about that, it sounds like you need to be looking in another neighborhood. seriously though, you can call the police department and simply ask them. if you have ANY doubts though don't rent it. find a safer neighborhood and a clean and newer house. gl.

Call your local police dept, they will probably have pamplets and possibly records of such info.

The only way you'll know for sure is to have it checked out by an expert, who can test for the presence of the tell-tale chemicals.

Try asking the neighbors, or go to the police station. Possibly public records, or a trusted Realtor.

Right I saw that on the news where someone bought a house and setup a daycare center untill finding out that the house was a meth lab. Ruined her call police or sheriff
