Does anyone know if crystal meth use can cause periorbital cellulitis?
I tried to search it online and so far i found no link, but the doctor at the ER said it is probably why my sistr develped this around her eye.

Boyfriends meth use.?
Will his meth use in the home affect my unborn baby? I am 5 months. He does not use in front of me but does use in the room with door closed. How I know because I figured out his binge cycles. I know this is a bad situation. I just want to make sure the drug does not get in my babies system or mine.

Can meth use cause this?
I have a suspicion that someone i know may be using meth and i was just wondering if foaming of the mouth was a side effect and if not what drug could cause this?he's currently in jail.... he went last night i was actually more trying to help one of my family members who is in a bad situation with this person... and she said he went crazy on her and was foaming and had sores on his arms and i have already suspected meth before she told me this

Are there other reasons for jaw jacking and being up all night other than meth use?
Every so often i will see my boyfriend making moves with his mouth that I have learned is called jaw jacking. He used to use meth and ademately denies doing it today when I have asked him. He says it is a nervous habit or that his mustache is itching him. He also has irregular sleep patterns to where he will be up all night and sleep all day at least one day a week, he attributes this to the many medications that he takes for his severe back pain and I notice he will do it a bit after he has smoked his medicinal marijuana. He is generally an honest person and I Do not want to damage our relationship by falsely accusing him. I am understanding about some drugs being helpful in every day life although i try to avoid them myself but i was in a relationship for years where I was lied to about meth use and had no clue until things got severe... Marijuana is one thing.. Concentrated powders a whole other deal. I don't want my past to ruin my current relationship but am I being clueless all over again?

What are the effects of meth use in LONG-TERM users?? ?
More specifically, the effects of meth even AFTER the user that quit for about 8 months, but used the drug for 10 years consistently. Personal experience, not just textbook answers would be great too... I'm asking ABOUT someone so I don't have a clue about this ish . Thanks Might be good to note that the meth use started in adolescence and until early this year... Is there any medication or therapy that would help if there are any manifestations of long term abuse? Meth support groups that are NOT narc anon?

Can u build muscle back up after 29yrs of meth use?
55yr. old fighting addiction. have had 14 yrs clean time in whole life. now want rest of my life clean but body is weak and there seems to be no muscle any where. asked medi forum no answer so i wonder if p90x will help me gain what drugs and 14 kids has taken. if u can help me with any advice please answer thank u so much

Is anxiety from meth use permanent?
I'm 19 and did meth 10 15 times over 6 months. This was 3 months ago. I had a panic attack after reading up on how horrible it was and quit right after I also drank and smoked pot for 2 years, stopped that too . I still have some anxiety but it got a lot better and I will never touch a drug again. I just don't want this to be permanent. I'm eating healthier, taking supplements, and starting to workout. Please say ill recover and I didn't screw myself. I saw a doctor and they just prescribed me with xanax. I stopped taking it because it didn't help and am just waiting it out. I've seen kids do way more than me but they seem okay, but they have went back to it. I stopped talking to a lot of people because I don't do drugs anymore. I put my faith in Jesus Christ and life is getting a lot better better than it was before i touched the drugs . But i still have anxiety and my legs have a slight twitch which is irritating. Idk I just don't feel as healthy as I was, first 2 months I had panic attacks but I haven't had one in a while. So what does the yahoo community think? am I screwed or just still in the process of healing?

Theoretically is it possible that heavy crack cocaine/crystal meth use can “kinda cure” schizophrenia?
I know it sounds like a retarded question but seriously. Many doctors believe that the cause of severe psychotic illnesses are linked to the abundance of the chemical dopamine and the neurotransmitters not working correctly. From everything I ve read and heard heavy crack and meth users obliterate the bodies natural ability to create this chemical even after they are no longer using. By the way I m not schizophrenic and I m not a junky.

Bad result from I.V. meth use?
5 days ago my partner injected meth into his arm. Pain gets worse everyday. huge bump at injection site' entire arm is swollen red and pain full .what can I do to help as won't go to hospital ER. A clinic probably. He is taking antibiotics

Diabetes and meth use?
my husband has used meth in the past he states that he is clean and has been for awhile he is also a diabetic a few days ago while i was changing sheets on the bed i found a pipe under the mattress he said that it isn't his and if it is his it that it is a old one. lately he has been having severe night sweats but no odor, leg twitches, fasting blood sugars 300 , extreme thirst,fatigue. he still hangs out with a few of his old smoking buddies. what kind of blood test would a doctor do to find out if he's clean or not?

Could meth use during pregnancy cause tooth decay later for the child?
A little girl age 3 who was taken away from her mother at birth due to meth use had to have 8 root canals which means all of her 3 year old molars fixed Dentist said her permanent teeth are affected also due to mothers meth use while pregnant. Anyone else ever heard of this?

Why is meth use more prominent in the Caucasian community?
I am a recovering addict so I think up questions like this quite a bit. My experience has shown me that meths addicts are mostly Caucasian or non black while crack usage is higher among black people. Why? It cannot be a matter of economics because crack is actually more expensive to use. I also do not want to buy into the theory that the effects on each races' bodies and or brains are different. I figure that the answer must lie in the social area somewhere I welcome everyone's thoughts and opinions.

Connection between Meth use and Hypothyroidism?
First of all, I will start by saying that I am a recovering meth addict and have been clean since 02 06 06. After I got clean, I gained weight, as I knew I would, but it hasn't stopped I finally saw a doctor a week ago, and I was diagnosed with a slightly under active thyroid, which she says will only continue to get worse and I must have it checked every 2 months. At this point they are not looking into treatments for the disease, as it is at the borderline for under activity.It just hit me today that this may be a result of my own past actions So, I haven't had to the chance to ask my doctor just yet. Does anyone out there know if there could be a connection between an under active thyroid and the abuse of meth? Could I have caused this myself?Please, I don't need undermining comments about my past abuse of drugs...I know it was wrong, I have completely changed the way I live my life. If you don't know the answer to the question, don't waste my time with your rude remarks they help NO ONE.I'm not complaining about the weight gain, I knew I would gain weight...only makes sense to. I was wondering if my meth use could have caused my condition of having hypothyroid.I did not have this condition prior to my abuse of drugs. I've been clean for 2 1 2 years and it is just surfacing now.

What are the long term signs and symptoms of "meth" use?
Some of us at work are concerned about a co worker that has a history of such use and we have noticed her facial complexion going through some rather ugly changes. Acne like lumps and bumps and areas that appear to be sores or small boils. Strange question I know, but need to know. There could be an intervention in her future....
