The sores all over the face are usually the biggest indication.

There are lots of symptoms. One of the big ones with meth is rapid weight loss. There are lots of others that occur after prolonged usage, including tooth loss and hair loss. But there are also the non health issues such as paranoia, estrangement from friends and family, extreme highs and lows etc.

Staying awake for very long times, mood swings, nervousness, paranoia, irrational behavior, a feeling of bugs crawling on or under the skin and hallucinations from lack of sleep. these symptoms start of mild and increase as the dose and duration of the speed binge or "run " increases.

From personal experience (not taking it, but see it) a user is: likely to be irritable loose weight quickly act edgy or nervous always talk fast, too fast, and trip over words sniffs a lot dilated pupils, won't look you in the eye directly ever. inability to focus when reading (watch the eyes, they dart side to side when reading) loose teeth...I don't know exactly why, but anyone on meth for a long period is bound to be toothless sores along arms, face, neck and chest. They scratch themselves and cause sores and scabs to appear. Flaky behavior. You can't count on them to show up to an event on time, or show up at all, they kind of thing. Low self esteem, shows in their personal appearance. Hair out of whack, clothes dirty and or wrinkled, unshaven and disheveled appearance. Also property begins to disappear as they run out of cash and need to sustain their habit. They steal anything and really and truly don't think anything of it regardless of their upbringing. It's just stuff that's needing to get turned into meth for them. Meth is a very dangerous plague. Do anything and everything to ensure those around you who are possibly taking meth get help as soon as possible. You would be saving their life.

Paranoia! Always itching thier arms, need not sleep for days if they still have availability! They will do most anything for the high! They can not be trusted! They may take things to pawn or trade.

Scratching, moving lower jaw back and forth sideways, break outs on face and arms, jittery, nervous, hyper. There will be a small pipe nearby if the person is on meth. After extended use, their teeth begin to rot.
