A little girl age 3 who was taken away from her mother at birth due to meth use had to have 8 root canals which means all of her 3 year old molars fixed! Dentist said her permanent teeth are affected also due to mothers meth use while pregnant. Anyone else ever heard of this?

That is correct. Since the adult teeth develop while the baby is still in the womb (yes, they don't come out will the child is 6 or so years old, they still DEVELOP while the baby is inside the womb), then yes this is highly probable. Apart from damage to the teeth, children born to meth addicted mothers have other, more serious problems.
