Firstly, meth is a very toxic chemical that the body basically treats as a poison and tries to get rid of it as fast as possible. You actually sweat some of it out as your body is revved up from it. Toxic chemicals on your skin is not good for it. Secondly, meth users tend to be unhealthy. They don't drink or eat much for days as they go without sleep on meth binges. Also, there tends to not be a lot of hygiene going on either. An unhealthy lifestyle like that can be very bad for skin as well. Thirdly, the meth high is one which induces your body to be in an energized state. Your heart beats faster. Your blood pressure rises. Your mind is all over the place. Prolonged periods like this can confused the brain and your sensory receptors and your largest set of sensory receptors are in your skin. You start feeling things that aren't there and you rub and scratch at them compulsively. So, toxic chemical, unhealthy lifestyle and compulsive scratching all contribute to nasty skin problems if you use meth excessively. So don't. |
