Meth alone will kill her, but with hcv infection much faster. as for marijuana, many of us used the drug for treating side effects of antiviral chemotherapy-so that is not the issue. you do however need to explain to her that as long as the hcv infection remains, so doe's her yearning to self medicate. once the hcv is gone, her depression issues which lead to the addiction issues will have a good chance of resolving itself. hcv is a disease that does pass the blood brain barrier. this causes all sorts of cns disorders of the brain and depression and/ or other mental illnesses feed off of the virons (and toxins as well that the liver is unable to process). tell her that treatment of her hcv is the only way for her right now and that it is a stepping stone to a chance at a normal unaltered state of health-mentally and physically. hugs and good luck to you both! |
